Yummy FTP is a file transfer protocol service for MacOS that supports different types of file transfers between machines. Known for speed and reliability, Yummy FTP is fully scalable for many different file transfer formats and employs automation using AppleScript.

Yummy FTP supports FTP/S, SFTP, and WebDAV/s file transfer formats. This means that Yummy FTP supports all form of secure extension, secure file transfer, and distributed versioning control. Ultimately, this means that your files are much less vulnerable to malicious attacks, failure, or other anomalous events in the case of a power outage.

Additionally, file transfers of any type are incredibly fast and all data is saved atomically during transfer.

What does this mean? Simply put, if a file transfer fails, then the file in its original state remains on the sending server without any opportunity for corruption. Any incomplete data that's been ported to the receiving machine will be wiped and considered unusable.

In comparison with other FTP services, this makes Yummy FTP both easy and safe to use. The program is extremely scalable and can handle nearly any data load for residential purposes. However, businesses will likely need to opt for a more robust data transfer program.

Unfortunately, in 2018, the primary creator of Yummy FTP passed away. It doesn't appear that anyone is keeping the program up to date with the newest developments in MacOS. The software is only compatible with 32 bit systems; so, if your machine runs on version Catalina or newer, Yummy FTP will be completely unusable.
